Have you thought of collaborating with an artist as part of your research? How about commissioning a new work – for a celebration, for fun, or to study the creative process? Have you been asked to mentor an artist, or to be part of an artist’s project? This workshop is an introduction to the arts granting system in Canada, and the selection process of the major arts funders. Find out how artists prepare applications, budget, find suitable partners, and work with all sorts of organizations to assemble funding for a specific project.

Isabella Stefanescu has worked on projects funded by the City of Kitchener, Region of Waterloo Arts Fund, Ontario Arts Council, Canada Council, the Department of Canadian Heritage, Ontario Trillium Foundation, and numerous foundations.
