APPLY FOR SEMESTER IN RESIDENCE

This course is open to students from all faculties at McMaster University and Redeemer University who will be enrolled in Year 3 or above. The next rolling admissions deadline is June 15, 2021.
Offered each fall semester, CityLAB Semester in Residence is a 15-unit course designed for passionate, motivated, and enthusiastic students. If you want to learn from the community, apply your studies to make change, and expand your personal and professional networks, then this is the course for you!

Students and staff from the City of Hamilton co-create and design an innovative real-world project to address the problem, gaining valuable insight and data that can be shared and potentially scaled up. Students in any faculty from McMaster are welcome to apply.

ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT ANOTHER VIRTUAL SEMESTER?
We have solutions for this! We’re planning a hybrid model and hoping to be working in the community, based on both public health and university guidelines. However, the pandemic situation continues to change, and will change prior to the beginning of the Fall 2021 semester. You can rest assured that we have had great virtual success with CityLAB SIR in 2020-21! So whether we can work in the community in person or virtually, you can look forward to an enriching experience and a great semester!
