ACCESS Tech Collection Drive

McMaster students and staff are invited to drop off used technology at the ACCESS Tech collection drive happening on the BSB field on Thursday, February 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

ACCESS Tech is a collaboration between McMaster Facility Services, University Technology Services, Academic Sustainability Program students, and community partner, Empowerment Squared.

For those attending, electronic devices which are lightly used are preferred. Everything received will be properly refurbished and delivered to those Hamiltonians in need. Please visit the ACCESS Tech webpage to check whether your tech donations meet the requirements. (First 50 donations get a free🍩!!)

All items received are recycled to those Hamiltonians in need, and unusable technology is upcycled by students or properly recycled. Extra pieces of technology are later divided to students at future giveaway events.

Data needs to be wiped from technology before it is donated. You can follow instructions on the ACCESS Tech Webpage, or the ACESS Tech team can help guide you through the data wiping procedure onsite during the donation drive.
