A Dialogue with Dr. Malinda Smith and AVP Equity and Inclusion, Dr. Arig al Shaibah

As part of McMaster’s Black History Month events, we are please to announce Dr. Malinda Smith of University of Alberta will be visiting Monday February 25th, 2019. Please join us, in Celebration Hall from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. to listen in on a discussion with Dr. Smith and AVP Equity and Inclusion Arig al Shaibah on equity and diversity in academia.

Dr. Smith has co authored such works as ‘The Equity Myth’, and ‘States of Race: Critical Race Feminism for the 21st Century’. Dr. Smith is full professor in the Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, and a 2018 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Fellow, a 2018 Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Award, and a 2018-19 Provost Fellow in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Policy.
