Your Voice Matters: Provide feedback on the sexual violence and discrimination and harassment policies
The Equity and Inclusion Office (EIO) is inviting McMaster students, faculty and staff to provide their feedback as part of the university’s scheduled review process of the Sexual Violence and Discrimination and Harassment policies.
McMaster community members can share their perspectives in two ways:
- Complete a brief, anonymous survey that will be sent directly to your McMaster email. Click here to learn more. The survey is open to all students, faculty and staff from now until Nov. 30, 2022.
- Join a zoom focus group. Click here for registration details for:
- Students | Tues. Nov. 15, 5 p.m. – 6 p.m.
- Staff | Tues. Nov. 22, 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.
- Faculty | Thurs. Nov. 24, 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
This campus-wide consultation was informed by a review lead team with representatives from offices and services at the university who have responsibility for the administration of the Policies or have accountabilities within the Policies. Student, faculty and staff groups were also engaged in the design and development of the survey and focus groups.
“I encourage all McMaster community members to participate in this feedback process and lend their valuable voices to the review of these policies,” says Sonia Anand, acting associate vice-president, Equity and Inclusion. “This is more than a routine policy review. It is a direct way to ensure your perspectives are heard.”
The results of the survey and focus groups will be synthesized and will inform policy revisions to be presented to the Senate and Board for approval.
