The McMaster Marauders have received a great deal of attention since capturing their
first Vanier Cup national football championship last week in Vancouver. Oakville MPP
Kevin Flynn recognized the team in the provincial legislature Wednesday, saying, “It's a
pleasure today to rise and congratulate the McMaster Marauders football team on their
dramatic Vanier Cup triumph and for returning the trophy to the province of Ontario.”

Flynn went on to recognize three Marauders from his Oakville riding.

The team was also honoured by Hamilton City Council Wednesday night at City Hall.
