Canadian university football's upcoming talent showcase will feature three members of
the McMaster football team.
Quarterback Kyle Quinlan, offensive lineman Jason Medeiros and defensive lineman
Tanvir Bhangoo have been selected to play in the 2011 CIS East-West Bowl, to be
played May 7 in London, Ontario.
The McMaster contingent will suit up for the West team, which is comprised of players
from universities located west of the Greater Toronto Area.
Players are nominated by their coaches and all CIS teams are represented. The
participants are heading into their draft-eligible year for the Canadian Football League.
Going into their senior year, the three Marauders will gain valuable experience playing
with other elite players from across Canada.
McMaster Head Coach Stefan Ptaszek and Defensive Coordinator Greg Knox will also
be part of the coaching staff for Team West. Both former CFL players, Ptaszek will help
coach the receivers, while Knox will look after the defensive backs.
This year's game is the ninth annual CIS East-West Bowl and will be played on
Saturday, May 7, 2011 at TD Waterhouse Stadium at the University of Western Ontario.
