The record will provide students with an official verification of their extra-curricular activities.

This online tool will help students reflect the skill development and community engagement that come from participation outside the classroom. The McMaster Record will be available this fall, but it needs a name.

All registered students are invited to complete a survey to vote for their favourite name. The survey is available here and can be completed any time before Friday, April 13 at 4:30 p.m.

Registered students who complete the survey can enter a draw to win an iPod Nano (only one entry per person). They can also submit their own name for the Record. Students who create their own name will be entered into an additional draw to win a $50 gift certificate for Titles Bookstore.

A steering committee, consisting of a project manager and a number of staff and student representatives, has been charged with the development of the Student Activity and Self Assessment Record. The committee has developed the structure along with a set of governing criteria, categories and statements of purpose and benefits.

For more information about this project, please contact Peter Walsh, project manager, Student Activity and Self Assessment Record, academic skills counsellor, at pwalsh@mcmaster.ca or visit the Centre for Student Development website.
