Michaels' independently released debut album Paradiso, achieved platinum status in Canada. That success led to a second release, Arizona, in 1997, which earned him a Juno nomination as “Instrumental Artist of the Year”. In 1998, Warner Music Canada and Michaels came to an agreement on a worldwide record deal. Once again, he entered his studio and two months later emerged with his third album, Utopia which went gold.

With the release of his fourth album Allegro, Michaels is prepared to provide his audiences with the evenings they've come to expect, along with some surprises. Translated literally, allegro means, lively or buoyant. His audiences always come prepared for that.

Accompanying Michaels will be Paul Donat on bass, Paul Paolini on drums and Mario Del Monte on percussion.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased through the School of the Arts box office at 905-525-9140 ext. 23333.
