The performace will feature 20 dancers from the jazz, modern, urban and junior companies. The dancers will perform routines that they choreographed themselves.

Tickets are $14 for adults and $8 for students, seniors and people with disabilities. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

The McMaster Dance Company consists of 35 dancers, mostly students, who audition in September.

Many of the them go on to be professional dancers who open their own studios and teach dance, said Dave Wilson, associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology and artistic director of the McMaster Dance Company. His research focus is on choreography and recreation.

The Company has performed at the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988 as well as numerous dance competitions, including an international competition in Lyons, France and the American College Dance Festival in Athens, Ohio earlier this month.
