Fall 2024 Convocation: What you need to know

The hard work and accomplishments of our fall grads will be celebrated at ceremonies on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21.


McMaster’s fall Convocation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20 and Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024.  

The university community is looking forward to celebrating the hard work and accomplishments of our Fall 2024 grads. 

In addition to degrees being conferred, the fall Convocation will see award winners and honorary degree recipients recognized. 

When and where 

Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2:30 p.m. Arts & Science Program, DeGroote School of Business, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences
Thursday, Nov. 21, 9:30 a.m.  Faculty of Health Sciences 
Thursday, Nov. 21, 2:30 p.m.  Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Science 

All convocation ceremonies will take place at FirstOntario Concert Hall, 1 Summers Lane, Hamilton ON, L8P 4Y2. (Formerly Hamilton Place).

A live stream of each ceremony will be available for those who can not attend in person. 

Other information 

Doors open 1.5 hours before the start of the ceremony, and ceremonies are approximately two hours long. Graduands are to arrive no later than one hour before their ceremony.
