The ads are part of a larger communications strategy for the Campaign, and are the result of donations of skills, time and advertising space by JAN Kelley Marketing, CH TV, The Hamilton Spectator, and Corus Entertainment.

“Done with Making Do” is the unifying slogan, humoursly showing audiences how McMaster athletes and the greater community have been 'making do' with current facilities.

Other components of the media campaign include colour ads in the Hamilton Spectator, radio ads appearing on Corus radio stations CHML, Y108 and New Country, and a website; donewithmakingdo.ca. Along with facts and plans of the project, the tv spots are available for viewing from the site.

Two of the ads feature McMaster athletes, and both the football and hurdle spots were shot at the University.
