They joined development projects in India and Ghana, and are sharing their adventures in a new podcast series on the rabble podcast network.
Paul Okrutny kicks off the show with postings from his recent trip to Calcutta, India. Marka Jansen will join in on her return from Tamale, Ghana, in August.
“The Fulcrum” is a joint project between Engineers Without Borders and the rabble podcast network. “An important part of Engineers Without Borders' work is to raise awareness about the economic and social challenges in developing countries. The Fulcrum is a great way to connect with people all over the world
on a really personal level,” says Jansen.
“I think the first-person perspective is really important,” adds Okrutny.
“It's fun for us, and we've given people in our host communities the chance to talk to Canadians directly through the show. We're proud to be fostering these relationships.”
rpn producer Charlotte Scott is thrilled about the show. “The Fulcrum is a perfect fit for rabble. Like Engineers Without Borders, the rabble podcast network is all about empowering people through technology.”
The rabble podcast network supplied the students with recording equipment, and hosts the show at no cost. The podcast is free, and can be downloaded or subscribed to at www.rabble.ca/rpn/ful.
