A local designer and artisan, Lemmex has donated a handcrafted Marauders-themed bra to
be auctioned off at McMaster basketball's Shoot for the Cure doubleheader
against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues.
The unique undergarment includes the Marauders logo, sport laces and ribbons and
was hand-stitched by Lemmex over the course of a number of weeks.
“I really hope it can help raise funds and awareness about breast cancer,” said Lemmex,
who runs a small business called Created by Mouse. “Breast cancer is a terrible thing,
and we have a long way to go in finding a cure.”
Players will be wearing pink, and pink shoelaces are available for sale at the David Braley
Athletic Centre.
Canadian Interuniversity Sport Shoot for the Cure events have raised almost $400,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation over the last four years.
Tipoff time is 6 p.m. for the women's game and 8 p.m. for the men's game.
