McMaster's Bookstore staff have shown that they know the true meaning of the holiday
season.

After holding their annual employee holiday party Titles Bookstore staff decided to
donate the money they raised through the purchase of tickets to the party to the Mac
Bread Bin, an on-campus food back run by the McMaster Students Union.

“It was an easy decision to make because we know the great work that the Bread Bin
does,” said Donna Shapiro, director of Titles. “It's especially important to think of
others at this time of year, so we're happy to do our part.”

Rebecca Ang, co-director of Mac Bread Bin, said she expects to use the funds, which
total more than $500, to support the Good Food Box, a new program which offers a
monthly package consisting of more than 20 pounds of fresh produce at a reduced
cost.

“The Titles donation is a true gift,” said Rebecca Ang, co-director of the Mac Bread Bin.
“We'll use it to increase the capacity of the Good Food Box program in order to offer
the fresh fruits and vegetables that we can't regularly provide.”

Mac Bread Bin provides food boxes and vouchers to approximately 100 people each
year. The organization also facilitates programs such as Feed the Bus, which supports
those in need within the Hamilton community.
