ACCESS Tech Donuts for Donations returns to campus

Students accept used tech at an outdoor booth. A student in a wheelchair smiles at a donor and beside her is a wall of circuitboards

Drop off your unused tech this Friday so it can be refurbished and distributed to Hamiltonians in need or properly recycled.  And if you get there early enough, you get a donut!

McMaster students and staff are invited to drop off used technology at the ACCESS Tech donation drive happening on the BSB field on Friday, October 20th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Donated technology is refurbished and distributed to Hamiltonians in need or properly recycled.

ACCESS Tech is a collaboration between McMaster Facility Services, University Technology Services, Academic Sustainability Program students, and community partner, Empowerment Squared.

Examples of donatable technology include:

  • Desktop and Laptop Computers
  • Monitors
  • Printers
  • Cameras
  • External hard drives
  • Cords
  • Digital technology of any age
  • Mobile devices less than 3 years old such as smart phones or watches

The first 50 donators will be given a complimentary donut. Donate while supplies last!

Data needs to be wiped from technology before it is donated. You can follow instructions on the ACCESS Tech Webpage, or the ACESS Tech team can help guide you through the data wiping procedure onsite during the donation drive.
