7 things you MUST do at #MayatMac
Taking a selfie with McMaster's official mascot is just one of the things you need to do while on campus Saturday at Mac@Mac. More than 6,000 visitors are expected this weekend for the University's largest open house.
More than 6,000 potential Marauders and their families will visit McMaster Saturday for the University’s largest open house.
May@May includes all sorts of activities designed to help potential students get to know McMaster. Below are 7 things you absolutely must do while visiting McMaster Saturday:
1. Faculty/program showcase: All level 1 programs will be represented at the showcase and will offer a variety of activities – from sample lectures and lab demonstrations to meet and greets with faculty.
2. Acceptance to registration session: Wondering what to do once you accept McMaster’s offer? This is where you’ll find out about registration, some important timelines and the services available to you as a student.
3. Campus bus tours: Take a 30-minute bus tour of campus with a student guide who will show you all the places you’ll need to know when you’re a Marauder.
4. Residence tours: Drop in and check out one of McMaster’s 12 residences.
5. Athletic centre tours: Take a guided tour of the David Braley Athletic Centre, McMaster’s state-of-the-art athletics facility. It includes a gym, an indoor track, a climbing wall, squash courts and a 150,000 square-foot double gymnasium.
6. The McMaster marketplace: Browse displays from student services and University organizations, all in one place. Participants include the Student Success Centre, the Student Wellness Centre, Off-Campus Services, Athletics and Recreation, the Campus Store and Admissions.
7. Take a selfie with Mac the Marauder: Impress your friends on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with a photo of you and McMaster’s official mascot, and make sure to hashtag it with #MayAtMac.
