Take two minutes and help us make Mac more inclusive

McMaster’s Employment Equity Census takes two minutes and is open to all employees.

McMaster’s Employment Equity Census takes two minutes and is open to all employees.

McMaster’s Employment Equity Census, a ongoing six-question online census,  is open to all McMaster employees.

The goal of the two-minute census is to better understand the diversity among the members of the community, improve McMaster’s hiring practices and track the university’s progress as it works to create a more equitable workplace.

The Employment Equity Census is voluntary.

To date, the university as a whole has a census completion rate above 60 per cent, and some areas have participation of 80 per cent or higher.

The higher the participation, the better our understanding of the diversity of our employee community, and to track changes in our workforce over time. McMaster has numerous initiatives underway to support employment equity and a second Employment Equity Report is expected in late 2019.

Census information is confidential and carefully protected in compliance with McMaster’s Statement on Collection of Personal Information and Protection of Privacy and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act of Ontario (FIPPA).
