This past weekend, McMaster successfully added its new human resources system to Mosaic.

“I want to congratulate the Mosaic team on achieving this goal,” said Roger Couldrey, vice-president (administration) speaking for the Mosaic executive committee. “On behalf of the University I would like to recognize your accomplishment. Thank you for your hard work.”

“The next few months will require all of us to adapt to the new system. It offers new functions, but, like any new tool, there will be a learning curve for users and I ask you to be patient with each other and the system during this transition.”

The new system opened to Department Administrators today. General employee self-service access will be available tomorrow. (Please note that a user’s first log-in to the updated system may be slower than normal.)

The first electronic pay statement for faculty members will be available on Oct. 24; the first staff pay will follow on Oct. 31.

The system is available at http://mosaic.mcmaster.ca. Select functions will be available outside of the McMaster firewall, including individual pay statements and benefits information. Users will still need their MAC ID and password and are reminded to keep their password private and secure. Attempting to access other parts of the system from outside the firewall will result in an error message that requests the user connect via the VPN (Virtual Private Network).

Information regarding post-launch support is available in the “Support” tab at http://mosaic.mcmaster.ca.
