Tentative agreement with CUPE 3906

The University and CUPE 3906, Local 2 have reached a tentative collective agreement. The union represents 420 sessional faculty and hourly-rated sessional music faculty on campus.

Both parties will begin the ratification process.

November 21:

The University and CUPE 3906, Unit 2 continue meeting this week as they work on a renewed collective agreement. The union represents 420 sessional faculty and hourly-rated sessional music faculty at McMaster.

This week, the two parties will work with a provincially appointed conciliator for two days of talks. The University’s goal is to reach a fair and equitable collective agreement that reflects the important role sessional faculty have at McMaster, while respecting the needs of students and the financial environment.
