Valerie Tryon is one such renowned virtuoso, and she never ceases to amaze audiences with her powerful interpretation, extraordinary accuracy, and fine intellectual grasp of musical structure.
The McMaster honorary degree recipient will perform in McMaster's Convocation Hall on Friday, Nov. 28, at 8 p.m.
Tryon, who has played on almost every concert stage of note in the world, has chosen to perform a program of Romantic and Impressionist preludes.
To begin the performance, Tryon will play all of the 24 preludes op.28 by Frederic Chopin. The second half of the performance will feature some of Tyron's favourite preludes from Debussy, Rachmaninov, and Scriabin.
Tickets are $17 for regular admission and $12 senior/student admission. For tickets contact the box office at 905-525-9140 ext. 23333, or pay at the door subject to ticket availability.
