McMaster has launched a new Web site to provide students, staff, faculty, and visitors who require access to McMaster during the World Cycling Championships Oct. 6-12 with information. The site is available at www.mcmaster.ca/bikerace.

This site will provide people with information on the Downtown Centre and the Centre for Continuing Education, alternate routes to get to McMaster, schedules for tests and assignments, race route maps and schedules, Homecoming Weekend, and Thanksgiving student pick-ups.

McMaster University will remain open that week. All exams, classes, and programs continue as usual, except at the Centre for Continuing Education.

The Centre for Continuing Education at the Downtown Centre (50 Main St. E.) will not be holding classes during the week of Oct. 6-12. Programs are not rescheduled or relocated. They are cancelled.

While everyone will be able to get to campus and the Downtown Centre, traffic congestion is expected to be heavier than usual, and delays should be anticipated. McMaster employees and students are encouraged to study race routes and schedules, available at www.hamilton2003.com to know when affected roads will be closed each day of the event which will determine where congestion occurs on other alternate routes through the city.

Information will be added to the site as it becomes available.
