SDG Awareness Week needs student leaders

From March 9-13, McMaster University will be participating in SDG Awareness Week, a student-led initiative designed to raise awareness about the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Awareness Week is organized by the Universitas 21 Health Sciences Group’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Student Committee – an international, interdisciplinary network of students taking action for the SDGs. The committee is looking for student volunteers from departments/schools across the U21 network, of which McMaster is a member.

Calling McMaster students

Your involvement in Awareness Week will mean:

  • Helping to disseminate SDG media releases during the week
  • Organizing local events, such as SDG-themed seminars, workshops, panel discussions
  • Nominating 1–2 student reps to join the U21 committee for the remainder of the year
  • Getting actively involved in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
