IT Security Alert: Microsoft Updates Notice, September 26, 2019
Microsoft is warning customers about newly discovered vulnerabilities in their Internet Explorer browser and Microsoft Defender antivirus software. The threats are significant enough that they have released updates outside of the regular Microsoft update cycle.
McMaster IT support staff are aware of the issue and are working to update and protect applicable university-owned devices. McMaster users and administrators are encouraged to review Microsoft Security Advisories and apply the updates as necessary:
