Same-day approvals at 93% in MacBuy launch
MacBuy launched a few short weeks ago, and already the online purchasing system is making a difference for the early adopters.
The Financial Affairs team has trained more than 140 people in the roles of shopper, requester or approver, with some people having both requester and approver roles.
The users work in financial affairs, receiving, purchasing, biochemistry, stem cell lab, chemistry and kinesiology departments. Administrative staff in the faculties of humanities, social sciences, business are also part of the early users.
This group has adopted the system quickly. For 93% of the orders, a purchase order was created on the same day the order was placed.
Early users from across the campus are believers:
I would like to let you know that our instrument got delivered expressly on Monday, June 17. Thank you all for an amazing experience with MacBuy and limited tendering form (online). I am sure that this platform will easily and quickly surpass expectations. I am sure that everyone at Mac will greatly benefit from it since this platform is a life saver. Great job guys. Thank you.
