The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada Giant Floor Map on display June 12, 13
McMaster University Library invites the McMaster and Hamilton communities to explore Indigenous stories and voices through the Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada Giant Floor Map, on display from June 12 –13 in MUSC.
Measuring 11 x 8 metres, this giant floor map is designed to help foster understanding of the past, present and future of Indigenous Peoples in Canada through the use of Indigenous symbols and datasets. The map is intended to be walked on and will be accompanied by educational resources and activities.
When: June 12 and 13, from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (both days)
Where: McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC) Marketplace, McMaster Main Campus
The Indigenous Peoples Atlas of Canada Giant Floor Map was created by the Royal Canadian Geographic Society in collaboration with a number of Indigenous and ally educators and organizations.
