Celebrating Thode Library and the McMaster Nuclear Reactor
In 1962, Dr. Harry Thode, world renowned scientist, and McMaster president & vice-chancellor, said, “McMaster University has the opportunity to become one of the great universities of this continent.”
Join us on Tuesday, June 18 as we pay tribute to Dr. Thode’s vision and legacy, and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the McMaster Nuclear Reactor and 40 years of the Thode Library of Science and Engineering.
Speakers include:
Jim Greenlee, author and three-time McMaster alumnus, who will reflect on Dr. Thode’s remarkable legacy
Andrea Armstrong, research associate at the McMaster Nuclear Reactor, who will highlight the cutting edge research and global impact in medical isotopes now taking place in this unique facility.
