It's nearly spring and that means many students are asking: who is hiring?

From health and wellness, energy and information technology to financial services and medical technology, a diverse group of employers representing many different sectors will be at McMaster tomorrow (March 11) for Career Services' Who's Hiring 2010 job fair. Companies will be looking for graduates to fill full-time positions as well as part-time positions and summer jobs.

In addition to the fair three panel events will offer students and recent graduates further opportunities to engage in discussion with employers from the retail, financial services/insurance and real estate industries. By sharing their inside tips, employers will offer students insight into new graduate opportunities and helpful advice on how to land their dream job.

"Panel events are a great way to network and market yourself," said Nina Marusic, finishing the last year of her English degree. "Not only do they provide students with valuable insight into career opportunities but they are also an excellent resource for finding out which industries are looking for what skills."

Students who need a last minute review of their resume or some advice on how best to connect with employers can take advantage of the on-site resume and networking clinic running from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Panel events are brought to McMaster through collaboration between Career Services and the DeGroote Centre for Business Career Development. For a full listing of activities, click here.

Representatives from TalentEgg, an online community focused on supporting the unique employment needs of students and new graduates, will be on-site to film the event for inclusion in their upcoming spotlight on meaningful careers within the retail industry.

Who's Hiring 2010 will run March 11 from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in CIBC Hall, on the third floor of the Student Centre.
