Context: Toolkit & $5000 Experiential Learning Grant
Community-Engaged Education Toolkit: The Office of Community Engagement has created a toolkit designed to contribute to the teaching and learning at McMaster University by supporting and building capacity for community-engaged education; a type of experiential education that benefits both the community and the students. The toolkit aims to provide the necessary principles, tools, and examples that can be used by staff and faculty such as yourself who are preparing students for community-engaged educational settings.
Experiential Learning in Academic Programming (ELAP) grant: Led by the Office of Community Engagement and the MacPherson Institute, the ELAP grant will provide successful applicants with up to $5000 to build experiential learning components into course and program offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. For more information on the grant, read this article from the Daily News or click here to download the grant application form.
