With support from the Office of the Dean of Science, the School of Interdisciplinary Science, the MacPherson Institute is pleased to announce the third brown bag event in our monthly MacDUET Education Talks series meant to encourage multidisciplinary interactions among all members of the McMaster community.

This session’s feature speaker is Dr. Heather Poole (School of Psychology, University of Ottawa) on Interactive Teaching Techniques.

By the end of the session, participants should be able to: (1) Understand the benefits and challenges of incorporating pop quizzes into a university course; and (2) Generate ideas on how to effectively implement pop quizzes into a university course.

When: Friday, November 24, from 12:30p.m. – 1:20p.m.
Where: MacPherson Classroom on the 5th floor of Mills Library

Through MacDUET (McMaster University Dean’s Undergraduate Education Talks), we aim to create a casual environment where invited speakers share innovative ideas about teaching and learning and further discuss how these ideas are realized into practice.
