International experts to speak on open access and textbook affordability
On Monday October 23, join the McMaster Students Union and McMaster University Library for Why Open? Open Access and Open Education at McMaster, a presentation on textbook affordability and the benefits of open access in research and education.
This session – one of a number of activities taking place in celebration of International Open Access Week (October 23 – 29) – will feature international open access experts, Nick Shockey and Brady Yano from the Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC). Nick and Brady will speak to these issues and provide insights on ways to get started at McMaster.
