Some Mosaic functions unavailable Feb. 23 – Feb 27 for upgrades
Upgrade for data warehouse and MAC ID services will interrupt a few functions
As part of Mosaic’s ongoing upgrade strategy, services associated with the data warehouse and MAC ID management will be unavailable in stages beginning February 23 with full services returning February 27. The upgrade will allow these subsections to better mesh with the new interface Mosaic interface introduced last fall.
Data Warehouse
Start: 6 p.m., Thursday, February 23
End: 8:30 a.m., Monday, February 27
Impact: Queries and reports, such as the labour distribution report, housed in the Mosaic Data Warehouse will be unavailable. When service resumes, users will notice one significant difference: the “Data Warehouse” folder in the navigator will act like the current Finance and HR folders with integrated navigation (see sample screen below). Consequently the “Data Warehouse” tile will be removed.
MAC ID Services
Start: 5 p.m., Friday, February 24
End: 8:30 a.m., Monday, February 27
Impact: all MAC ID services will be unavailable in Mosaic. This includes services such as activating a new MAC ID, forwarding email, changing a MAC ID password, and signing up for Campus Notifications. MAC ID services will resume on Monday, February 27 at 8:30 a.m. End users will not see any change to these services after the upgrade.
Questions regarding these upgrades should be directed to Mosaic support at mosaic@mcmaster.ca
