The McMaster Institute for Research on Aging is pleased to welcome Dr. James L. Kirkland as a Harry Lyman Hooker Distinguished Visiting Professor. Dr. Kirkland, MD, PhD, is the director of the Robert and Arlene Kogod Center on Aging and a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His groundbreaking research, which focuses on cellular aging and the role fat plays in health and age-related dysfunction, has helped him to target and treat age-related chronic diseases and disabilities. Please join MIRA for one of two seminars, to be followed by an open house.
