Students to get introductory taste of university life
On Saturday, August 13, around 300 first year students and guests will participate in McMaster’s first Residence Experience Day.
Organized by Residence Life Office, this one day event plus overnight option, will give students a taste of university life prior to move-in and Welcome Week. Students will get a tour of their future residence building, campus, the alpine towers, campus store, and classrooms. Community Advisors and Welcome Week leaders will be present to meet students and answer questions.
Students will attend presentations and workshops by residence managers about how to get the most out of their residence experience while parents are invited to attend a panel to learn will learn more about their evolving role as parents in the lives of students at University.
Overnight students will venture off campus for dinner and experience a bonfire before settling into a residence building for the night.
