Learn how to submit a Facility Services service request

January 12, 2016

Beginning February 1, 2016, there will be a new way to submit a service request when Facilities Services adopts Mosaic’s Maintenance Management Module.

A short training course is now available to help all McMaster staff and faculty prepare for the new system. This course guides users through the process of submitting a service request in Mosaic. Please log in to the Mosaic Learning Hub to complete the online course called “MM Service Request ESS”. Once you log in, the course will appear under the “My Courses” section.

The new module will be fully integrated with Mosaic’s finance functions and will provide service requestors and departmental administrators the ability to easily track the current status of work orders, see work order details, and view all associated costs.

The scope of work that Facility Services provides will not change; however, all work estimates will be funded by the department that is requesting the work.

The current system, AiM Facilities Management System, will close permanently at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27.       The Facility Services Customer Service desk will only accept and dispatch emergency work orders on January 28 and 29. On those days, please refrain from submitting non-urgent requests. Facility Services’ service priority matrix can assist you in determining if your request is an emergency.

Thank you for your interest. It is the team’s hope that orientation and training will help smooth your transition to the new system.
