Community Engagement and Volunteer Fair will take place Tuesday
The tenth-annual Community Engagement and Volunteer Fair will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in MUSC from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Whether seeking volunteer hours, opportunities to enhance a resume, or just trying something new with the sole purpose of giving back, students, faculty and staff are invited to connect with representatives from 60 community organizations to learn about opportunities and the positive impact volunteers can make.
A free networking breakfast featuring keynote speaker Dev Aujla, co-author of Making Good, will take place prior to the fair from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. in CIBC Hall.
Sean Van Koughnett, AVP of Students and Learning and dean of students, will kick off the event with the presentation of volunteer awards to six students for their outstanding contributions to the community.
Students and representatives can attend the networking breakfast by registering on OSCARplus under the events tab. Space is limited. A full list of attendees is also available on OSCARplus.
Event partners include the Student Success Centre, Social Sciences Experiential Education, the Alumni Association, School of Graduate Studies, Volunteer Hamilton and Community Volunteer Action with support from the Student Life Enhancement Fund.
