Record number of employers to attend career fair Sept 18

On Thursday, Sept. 18^th from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., final-year students and alumni can make their pitch to a record 103 employers from a wide range of industries at the annual Career Fair in the David Braley Athletic Centre (DBAC).

Students will be able to receive a resume critique from McMaster’s career and employment staff as well as network with representatives from industries such as technology, retail, engineering, project management, government, robotics, manufacturing, IT, automotive, finance, chemical distribution, energy, oil, consumer products, telecommunications, marketing and more.

To prepare, here are five resume must-dos:

Include your name and contact information on both pages
Use discretion when adding too many fonts and using underlining, bold or italics
Ensure your strongest skills are listed first
List any awards/certifications after your education
Be sure to include volunteer experience

Students and alumni interested in attending the fair do not have to register. Simply bring an updated copy of your resume, student card and dress for success.
