Students experiencing problems with email configuration

Sept. 12, 12 p.m.: University Technology Services has resolved this issue and students are no longer experiencing issues with email configuration.

Students are currently experiencing intermittent issues related to errors when trying to configure student email accounts on phones and computers. The errors result in the email configuration failing. UTS is working to resolve the issues.

UTS suggests Email can still be accessed using the Gmail web client at https://studentmail.mcmaster.ca. The issue occurs at peak email usage times, and students are also encouraged to re-try the email configuration at another time when usage may be lower.

UTS says it will provide further bulletins as information becomes available.
