The general ledger (GL) close for December is being extended to ensure users are able to finish posting to the December financial reporting month.

Now that it is January, new journal entries will default to January 2014 (period 9); however, until noon on January 22 users can change the date on the header to December (period 8). After that time any December journal entries that have not been approved for posting will need to be copied into a NEW journal to change the date to January (and the old journal deleted) so they can be picked up in the January close, currently scheduled for February 16.
