Health sciences researcher awarded Order of Canada
Salim Yusuf, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario/Marion W. Burke Chair in Cardiovascular Disease and director of the Population Health Research Institute, has been awarded the Order of Canada.
Governor General David Johnston made the announcement June 28, based on the recommendation of the Advisory Council for the Order of Canada.
The world-renowned cardiologist was recently named one of the “Hottest Scientific Researchers of 2012” by ScienceWatch.
