Flags lowered in memory of Jennifer Robertson
McMaster’s flags will be lowered today in memory of Jen Robertson, who passed away on April 30.
Robertson was a fierce and diligent member of the Faculty of Health Sciences, who began her time at McMaster as a PhD student in Medical Sciences, graduating in 2005, and went on to be a postdoctoral fellow from 2006 to 2012, before becoming Biosafety Manager in 2013.
She was also a part-time assistant professor in Biochemistry & Biomedical Sciences, before becoming director of Health Sciences Occupational Health and Safety / University Biosafety Officer in 2018.
Robertson will be remembered for her passion, sense of humour and her drive to improve Safety/Biosafety for McMaster. She will be deeply missed by her McMaster friends and colleagues. Click here for her obituary on Smith’s Funeral Homes website.
To honour her legacy at McMaster, a memorial bench or tree will be placed in her honour near the Health Sciences building, so that it can be enjoyed by her friends and colleagues. Click here to read a full tribute to Robertson or to donate.
