New travel guidance page supports community’s global engagement
As a global university, McMaster’s students, faculty and staff regularly travel internationally for research, field work, placements and academic exchange. A new travel guidance webpage now brings information to support safer and informed travel together into one spot.
The new Informed Travel page, hosted by the Office of International Affairs (OIA), is designed for all members of the McMaster community. The site includes:
- Safety planning tools through McMaster’s Travel Safety Program
- Resources to safeguard research on the global stage
- IT security tips for before, during and after travel
- Information for students pursuing work, study or volunteer opportunities abroad
- Guidance for faculty and staff supporting student travel
The page also links to official Government of Canada travel advisories and entry requirements and offers tips for protecting personal privacy while travelling.
