In this free public talk, Marlis Butcher describes her experiences visiting Qausuittuq National Park in the high Arctic as part of her quest to ‘bag’ every national park in Canada.
Qausuittuq on Bathurst Island is one of the most remote parks, a preserve for some of the few remaining Peary Caribou. Ms. Butcher talks about the journey, her experiences in Nunavut and the importance of the park’s ecosystem in the northern environment.

She is an environmental conservationist, photographer and author of Park Bagger: Adventures in the Canadian National Parks. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographic Society and of The Explorer’s Club.
