The organizers of Black History Month (BHM) at McMaster are inviting students, staff and faculty members to share their campus and community event listings on the official BHM 2025 calendar.

The Black History Month Planning Committee, in partnership with the Equity and Inclusion Office, is holding and supporting events that celebrate Black Excellence throughout the month of February.

Click this link to submit your event information with the BHM planning committee. Event submissions are due by 4 p.m., Jan. 17, 2025.

Black History Month is not only a time to celebrate the contributions and achievements of Black, Caribbean, and African diasporic peoples but also an opportunity to reflect on how McMaster can continue to support and uplift the Black community—during February and throughout the year.

This year’s theme at McMaster is Diasporic Dreams: Reclaiming Pasts, Shaping the Present, Crafting Futures.
