On Saturday, May 7, visitors will have the opportunity to find out information about McMaster programs, ask questions about admissions or scholarships and tour campus facilities. May @ Mac is one of McMaster's largest annual events.

“May @ Mac provides the best opportunity for applicants and their families to check out all that Mac has to offer,” says Bonnie Crocker, liaison officer in McMaster's Office of the Registrar. “It will give them an opportunity to meet and ask lots of questions to faculty, staff and students and tour some of our many, special facilities.” She adds that visitors can attend mini-lectures and workshops and visit labs to get a taste of first-year programs, tour the residences, browse McMaster's beautiful campus and sample the menu of the award-winning dining facility, East Meets West Bistro.

One of the new offerings this year is a session by the First Year Experience Office called “The First Year Experience Map of Success.” This session will discuss the transition from high school to university and how to draw a “map” that will lead to a successful start to university.

Students also will see some of McMaster's newest facilities, namely the Michael G. DeGroote Centre for Learning and Discovery.

“The Student Liaison Office would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people across campus who are involved in making McMaster's annual May @ Mac Open House such a successful event,” Crocker says. “Whether aiding with set-up, clean up, coordinating events, acting as a program representative, or participating in sessions on May 7, it takes the work and efforts of many departments to make it all come together.”
