We are pleased to announce that Ivan L’Ortye has accepted the role of Interim Director, Security Services, starting on June 26, 2023, with an expected end date of December 31, 2023. L’Ortye comes to McMaster with over 36 years of dedicated community policing service in the Halton Region. L’Ortye will be taking over for Glenn DeCaire, McMaster’s Director of Security and Parking Services, who is retiring as of July 1, 2023.   

The posting and recruitment for the Director of Security Services – which now reports to Wanda McKenna, AVP of Human Resources – will begin this summer.   

Rob Morrallee has also joined McMaster as the new Senior Manager of Parking Services, now reporting to Debbie Martin in her role as AVP, Real Estate, Partnerships and Ancillary Operations. Morrallee was previously Parking Manager at Mohawk College and will now be working with stakeholders from across campus on a new plan for the future of parking at McMaster.
