Returning to campus means reconnecting – with routines, places and friends.
Here’s what it looked like on campus this week as we gathered as a community once again.
Students walk through an archway outside of University Hall. McMaster’s original buildings feature a “Collegiate Gothic” design inspired by the medieval colleges of Oxford and Cambridge.

Chervyn, a third-year economics exchange student from France, has his photo taken with the Senator William McMaster Statue outside University Hall.
Have you had your photo taken with the Senator yet?
“It feels nice to be back in the same routines that I was in before, and also to leave my house. That’s been pretty good,” said Jasmine, a second-year engineering student.
Aaron and Karmen from the Student Success Centre hand out welcome bags to students on campus.
The Student Success Centre offers a range of services and workshops to help students grow academically, personally and professionally. They are there to help students thrive and succeed!
“It’s kind of cool to see people being on campus again, said Preethan, a second year sociology student. “It’s something I haven’t seen in quite awhile.”
The much-loved PAWSS Project (Pups Advising Within Social Sciences) works with certified therapy dogs, staff and faculty to help students adjust to university life and manage their stress and anxiety.
While the program is currently on pause (paws?), check back soon to see when our furry friends will be on campus!
Exercise can be a great way to manage stress and maintain health and wellness. Check out the McMaster Athletics and Recreation site for up-to-date information on fitness facilities, programs and all the ways you can get moving and get involved.
Milene Aquino-Guadron, a second-year life sciences student and Janica Aguilar, a second-year human behaviour student reconnect on campus.
They spent part of their first day on campus checking out a pop-up shop in the McMaster University Student Centre (MUSC). Visit the Marketplace area of MUSC to find different vendors selling their goods.
Two students take a moment to have a coffee in the sunshine.
So great to have you back on campus, Marauders!
