Your student bus pass has changed

Full-time McMaster students hold a 12-month, unlimited-ride Hamilton Street Railway (HSR) bus pass.

This year, students will need to show an HSR bus pass along with their student card in order to board the bus.

Unlike in the past, students no longer need to affix bus pass stickers to their student cards.

Bus passes will be available for pick up during Welcome Week. Pick up will continue throughout first semester. There is no extra cost for the pass.

Will my student card and expired sticker continue to work as my bus pass in September?

The HSR has granted a three week grace period, ending at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2015. Students will have until such time to secure a new bus pass from the above locations. During this grace period, either a new student card, or an old student card with last year’s sticker will serve as a valid bus pass.
