University Librarian takes on new role

After four years in his role as McMaster's chief librarian, Jeff Trzeciak has announced that he is leaving the University. He will be moving back to Ohio where he will be the executive director of OhioLINK, an organization with 89 member libraries from across the state's universities, colleges and public library systems.

The move is an opportunity for Trzeciak to move closer to his family while taking on this important role with such significant scope and potential. It also means that McMaster must say goodbye to someone who has made the University's libraries North American leaders in providing modern and dynamic study and learning centres for students, faculty, staff and our community.

Trzeciak will remain in his current role until the end of November. Plans are being developed for a smooth transition and will be shared with the McMaster community when they are confirmed.

“I appreciate the support that McMaster has given me during a time of much needed transformation for its libraries,” said Trzeciak. “I will miss the many friends I have made here over the years but I look forward to going home and working with old friends once again.”
