The Ontario Biology Day conference

McMaster University will be the site of the Ontario Biology Day (OBD) Conference, March 16 to 17, 2013.

What it offers:
– Research topics range from biodiversity and ecology to microbiology, molecular biology and human genetics
– Network with prospective supervisors and learn about graduate studies and career opportunities at McMaster and elsewhere
– A unique opportunity for investigators in diverse research areas to meet their peers and discuss research approaches and common interests in a collegial environment

OBD promises to be well attended and attract a large number of promising students and an important contingent of established investigators.
At the previous meeting that was held at McMaster University six years ago over 250 undergraduates were preregistered and that number is expected to increase for the 2013 conference. Two thirds of the 300+ participants are expected to come from several other universities located in the Kitchener-Waterloo-Guelph area, Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
